A scientific symposium at Shatt al-Arab University College on Blockchain Technology
On Monday, 11/13/2023, a scientific symposium was held in the Computer Science Department at Shatt al-Arab University College, entitled "Blockchain Technology and Its Applications in the Modern Digital World". The symposium was presented by the Head of the Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Basem Sahar Yassin, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Taher Mohsen Mansour, department professors and fourth-year students.
The symposium aimed to provide a comprehensive definition of blockchain technology and its various applications in the modern digital world. The symposium also discussed the advantages of blockchain technology, its benefits, and how to apply it in some applications, such as digital currency, medical records, and smart contracts.
The symposium witnessed valuable interventions from the attendees, as the Head of the Computer Science Department and a number of professors provided important contributions on how to apply the technology in some applications and how to solve their problems, in addition to the contributions of the department's students.
The participants expressed the importance of this symposium, as it contributed to introducing them to blockchain technology and its various applications. They also stressed the need to hold more scientific seminars in this field, to enhance awareness of the importance of this technology and its promising applications.
