A scientific symposium in the Department of Computer Science at Shatt Al-Arab University College sheds light on renewable energy sources.

A scientific symposium entitled "Renewable Energy Sources" was held in the Department of Computer Science at Shatt Al-Arab University College on Tuesday morning, 4/4/2023. The lecture was presented by Assistant Lecturer, Dr. Mazen Abdel-Ilah Alwan, and the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Taher Mohsen Mansour, and the Head of the Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Bassem Sahar Yassin, attended the symposium, along with the department’s professors and students of the fourth and third stages. The symposium aimed to introduce the audience to renewable energy sources, types, and global renewable energy stations. The types of renewable sources such as sunlight, wind, hydroelectric, marine, geothermal and bioenergy were also discussed, and the basic concepts of solar, wind and thermal energy were clarified. The lecture also enriched a number of valuable interventions from the Dean of the College, the Head of the Department of Computer Science, the professors of the department, and the students attending.
